Step 1 — Contact
Call (914) 344-8475 at any hour, or send the service request form. For emergencies, the phone is fastest. Tell us where you are — White Plains or one of our Westchester service areas — and whether water is actively flowing, the heat is out, or the problem is contained.
Step 2 — Describe
Share the appliance or system involved and what it is doing: what changed, when it started, what you have noticed since. Details that seem small — a sound, a smell, which fixtures are affected — are often the most diagnostic. If the situation is urgent, we will also walk you through immediate steps, like closing the main shutoff, while help is arranged.
Step 3 — Assess
We inspect the problem directly. Sometimes that is a trained eye on a valve; sometimes it is a pressure test, a camera in the sewer line, or leak detection equipment on a wall. The point is evidence: you should never have to approve a repair based on a guess, and neither should we.
Step 4 — Next step
We explain what we found, what caused it as far as the evidence shows, and the options — repair now, monitor, or replace — with the honest trade-offs of each. You choose. Then we complete the work you approved, test it, and clean up the work area.
Before you call: a two-minute checklist
- Know where your main water shutoff is, and whether it turns.
- Note which fixtures are affected and when the problem started.
- If a water heater is involved, note its approximate age (the rating plate on the tank shows it).
- Photos of a leak or stain, taken when you first notice them, genuinely help.
